I am a queer and disabled feminist philosopher and futurist change agent on a mission to have risky conversations about ideology, identity, and innovation. Started life on a hard rock, built a life raft made of grit. Ran away with the circus (ahem, the opera), hit rock bottom. Then took off the masks and discovered who I truly am across the past ten years. My story is pretty and wild, still unfolding.
I'm Falene (pronounced Fae-lean) and I am a knowledge dragon; I live to learn and, as such, have a tonne of diverse knowledge. In pursuit of my information horde, I have done a variety of jobs - from the traditional graduate researcher and teaching assistant to the more out there options of acting and care-giving. This somehow landed me in an Israeli Hi-Tech startup that builds, among other things, empathetic social companion robots for older adults.
