Ecuadorian gender professional with work experience in NGOs, grantmaking organisations and local governments. Passionate about feminist grantmaking, creative storytelling & community building. I have lived in Ecuador, the US, England & Sweden, and have a strong global network in the social impact sector. Creator of an arts-based project on sexual violence; a feminist travel notebook; a climate and gender justice campaign; and a transnational co-mentorship program for gender professionals.
I'm Kristina, an ex-strategy consultant turned start-up builder. I've worked across - and often at the intersections of - climate action, impact investing, and gender and racial equity. In my current day-job, I wear many hats as Chief of Staff at Commons. Commons is an app that helps people understand their emissions and discover practical ways to reduce or offset them. I moonlight as a musician, avid outdoor adventurer, and pantry-chef fighting food waste one scrap at a time.
This is a reminder of what motivates me, and what I see as my purpose. This is an attempt to make heart, brain and body connect to walk through my life with a feeling of accomplishment, fulfillment, congruence, and happiness.
